Ribera d'Ebre is a comarca (county) in Catalonia, Spain. The name is Catalan for the province's location on the banks of the river Ebre, usually referred to in English by its Spanish name, "Ebro.

Part of the so-called Ebro lands, named because of the great river that flows through the heart of the territory, from the Riba-roja reservoir (NW) to the Barrufemes pass (S). The river valley is flanked by hills and mountains—La Fatarella and Cavalls sierras on the east bank, and Les Deveses, Tormo, Llaberia, Tivissa and Cardó sierras on the west— which, in the central sector, form the Pas de l'Ase narrows. The landscape has a harsh beauty and there are towns and villages of great character. An important bastion in the Muslim period, the territory passed into the jurisdictions of the Templars and Hospitallers (Miravet, Ascó) and the barony of Entença, later the county of Prades (Móra, Tivissa), among others. Until the 17th century there was a large population of Moorish converts to Christianity. The economy, traditionally based on agriculture (renowned wines and fruit) and exploitation of the river in modern times have brought some important industries (chemicals in Flix, hydroelectric at Riba-roja and Flix, the nuclear power station at Ascó). There is also a tradition of ceramics. Tourism is still in its infancy as far as infrastructures are concerned, but the landscape, sports on the river, hunting and fishing and the monuments bring many visitors.
